Benefits of the New - Introduction

New things are special, as well as enjoyable. Engaging in new experiences is rewarding, and seemingly, they have the power to make us stronger mentally. We progress when we are open to change, new experiences, and to new possibilities.

I am June Montgomery, singer, writer, actress, and educator. I have decided to add a new experience to my list! Blogger! Welcome to The J Journal, the new blog feature you will now find on my newly designed website! A blog is simply a weblog, and I am very excited about this new space that will provide me with the opportunity to discuss music, thoughts, ideas, experiences, and opinions—of course.

Why did I decide to blog? Well, here are the four reasons why I chose to engage in this new writing practice or maybe I should refer to it as, this new adventure:

1.    TO SHARE INSIGHTS

I have the opportunity to share my insights related to music, education, and other topics of interests that are headed to the forefront right now as I write my first blog. So much is happening in our world today, and it is important to keep abreast of the changes that are affecting our lives as a result.

2.    TO CONNECT WITH MY AUDIENCE

Times have changed, to say the least. We do not have much of an opportunity to connect any more. It appears that we have been relegated to tapping a “Like” button and moving on to the opportunity to tap it again. I get it. It’s all about change, but I am confident that we can find better ways to connect with our friends today. Maybe, we can add something new.

3.    TO INFORM YOU OF NEW MUSIC RELEASE

I want you to be the first to know the latest developments in my creative journey—whether it is about singing, recording, writing, or just surprising you once in a while. My words are meaningless without a caring and interested audience. You are important to my creative endeavors, and I am very fortunate to have you on my team.

4.    TO BRING JOY TO MY AUDIENCE

Having joy is important to a happy life. When I’m singing, acting, or writing, you can believe that I’m experiencing joy. If this were not the case, I would have given up long, long ago. My hope is that with The J Journal and song, you will find more joy showing up in your life as a result of my efforts.

One in love and music,

June
